1973 Honda CB350F

I think I mentioned in the pages for the first CB350F that I have always wanted one - I never wanted three - but I always had it in the back of my mind that one day I would get one and restore it and go touring on it.....

So I got one, but wasn't quite happy with it because it didn't have matching Frame and Engine Numbers, but other than that it was quite reasonable - a good start for a retoration, but then I got the chance and a parts bike that did have matching Frame and Engine Numbers, so I grabbed that. The idea was to make one out of the two, and have it with matching numbers.But somehow - and I honestly don't quite know why, but I have now got a third one....

I went to Koorawatha to pick up the CB350F today..

A few observations of my bike prior to restoration:

Very rough
The Frame is from a CB350F and the Engine is from a CB400 Four
It looks like someone has tried to convert this into an Adventure type bike - its got a new long travel front end and new long travel rear end, new Forks, new swingarm and shocks.
4 into 2 Exhaust - maybe home made.d
The original front and and rear end were also included in the sale.
Engine Turns over - not seized.
Obvious parts missing - Sidestand, Centre Stand, Seat, original 4 into 4 exhaust, I'm sure there's more.

Despite how rough it is - I qwuite like the idea of it as an adventure bike - I think it would be a great thing. But notwithstanding that - I will be taking it back to original, ro as original as I can get it, I suspect unless I can pick up a 350 Four Engine somewhere, I will leave the 400 in it.
